Paignton is situated at the centre of Torbay in the heart of the English Riviera and is noted for its clean, sandy  beaches, clear blue waters and mild weather.  It is an ideal location for a sea-side holiday or short break.

You can relax on a boat trip, or for the more active there is deep sea fishing, water sports and golf. The world-renowned Paignton Zoo has over 75 acres of beautiful wood and parkland to explore, or take a nostalgic trip on the Paignton & Dartmouth Steam Railway.

Throughout the season many events are held on Paignton Green (Seafront) including firework displays, classic car show, fun fairs, exhibitions, children’s entertainment, army displays and charity fetes.

Paignton is also an ideal base for exploring further afield, either by public transport or by car.  The surrounding countryside has many interesting places to visit, including the picture postcard village of Cockington, Babbacombe Model Village or take a step back in time to Morwellham – where history comes alive. Visit the copper mine or see the mighty Shire horses in their centuries old farm.

You can also visit the many National Trust sites throughout Devon or travel to Widecombe in the Moor, the home of Old Uncle Tom Cobbley.
